Dandelions for Mom | Vancouver Family Photographer

I liked the dandelions.  They were always easy to find on the way home from school or my friend’s house, and Mom would always put them in a little plastic cup by the kitchen table.

It never occurred to me at my young age the irony of this.  Every spring and summer, Mom was digging out the dandelions (from the root) from our yard, and I would always bring her a mini-bouquet.  But she still put them on display.

Mother’s Day last weekend was sunny in Vancouver, and I spent part of the afternoon Jericho Beach photographing a wonderful family.  It didn’t take long for Norah to find the dandelions to bring to her Mom!

Happy Mother’s Day!
