Remembrance Day – one of those “holidays” that is so much more. It’s an opportunity for us to remember all the people who gave up their lives – and those who gave up time and loved ones – because of war. It’s the opportunity to remember that many people are still affected by war.
And it’s the opportunity for us to learn from the past and work for Peace.
Most of us will enjoy the time off work or school, and maybe forget the reason we get to sleep in. I want to give a little for peace, and have some fun along the way. You can help!
Book a photos+peace mini-session on Remembrance Day (November 11) or Peace Sunday (November 14) and I will donate half of the session fee to Peace work – specifically the MCC Grassroots Peace Project in Sudan, a country that has seen more war than peace in the past century. Close friends of mine are working there now – check out their blog.
Each photos+peace mini session is $100*, 30 minutes and includes a $50 credit for prints or files. $50 will be donated to the Peace Project in Sudan.
There are only 5 sessions available:
November 11 – 12 pm, 1pm, 2pm, and November 14 – 1pm, 2pm.
